Bek (she/they) was born and raised in New Mexico. After completing her Bachelor’s at the University of New Mexico, they spent a year abroad in Europe before joining the Leadership team at The Hype in 2018. Bek is The Hype’s in-house career coach, specializing in emotional intelligence and career success. Bek is also the Student Advisor with Destroy The Hairdresser, a coaching company for hairstylists.  by hairstylists. 

Dellyna (she/her) was born and raised here in Rio Rancho, NM. She took interest in cosmetology early into her teenage years. After high school, Dellyna went to school at NM Tech for 3 semesters for Biology, and promptly found out it was not where she wanted to be. Instead, she decided to follow her true passion and pursue cosmetology at The Aveda Institute of New Mexico. Now, she loves being able to connect with guests while doing their root touch ups, bold fashion colors, balayages, and long-hair haircuts!

katrina (she/her) was born and raised in albuquerque, NM.  Katrina has been a stylist since 2014.  Katrina loves to stay up to date in different techniques and trends.  Katrina specializes in long layered haircuts, and live in color looks, such as balayages.  Katrina is passionate about her craft, and making others feel beautiful. 

shiyah (they/them)  was born and rised in albuquerque, nm.  they studied at olympian academy and found that they have a natural talent for hairstyling. they love enhancing everyone's natural beauty and learning new techniques to do so. shiyah's favorite techniques include queer friendly, gender affirming styles, vivid colors, blonding and transformative haircuts.

Kayala (she/her) is originally from farmington, new mexico, and relocated to albuquerque in 2021 to attend aveda institute. 
Kayla has passion for all things color, from balayages to vibrant creative colors, and is bellami extension certified.  kayla's favorite part of the industry is the relationship between stylist and client, and witnessing a client's confidence grow when their dream hair is achieved. 

Tristen’s (she/her) funny and irreverent personality makes clients feel laid back and comfortable in her chair. Tristen’s hair journey actually started in the kitchen doing friends and family for years, finally she built the courage to pursue a career in cosmetology and began school in 2021. She is naturally creative and has a passion for all hair services but enjoys fashion color, creative cuts and barber cuts the most.
