Position Overview:
The Floor Instructor is a pivotal role at The Hype Hair Academy, responsible for guiding, supervising, and evaluating students as they practice hairstyling techniques on the salon floor. This role ensures the highest educational standards and operational excellence are met, aligning with the academy's commitment to providing industry-leading instruction in hairstyling and salon management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students on the salon floor, ensuring safe and effective practice of hairstyling techniques.
- Provide hands-on instruction and feedback to students, enhancing their technical skills and professional development.
- Monitor student progress, conducting evaluations and assessments in line with academy standards.
- Enforce salon safety and sanitation practices, maintaining compliance with state regulations and academy policies.
- Collaborate with other instructors and administrative staff to optimize the learning environment and curriculum implementation.
- Participate in continuous professional development to stay current with industry trends and teaching methodologies.

Qualifications:
- Valid cosmetology instructor license (or the ability to obtain one).
- Proven experience in cosmetology instruction, with a strong background in hairstyling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student success and educational excellence.
- Currently working behind the chair in the industry 

Compensation:
- W2 position
- Hourly compensation beginning at $18 an hour depending on experience 
- Schedule will vary week to week between 10 and 20 hours
